I don’t know about you, but my brain still can’t deal with the fact that we are in October, let alone it being Halloween already. I’m sure we have only just had Easter, haven’t we ? But nights have carried on drawing in and its’ time for snuggling up by the fire with a hot chocolate, a good book and some comfort food, I think. It’s also the start of the best season for us to decorate our houses with some of our happiest and  most fun makes so I thought I would today share with you this quick and easy Halloween seasonal make of mine designed recently, in case you are still feeling in that spooky mood and fancy some last minute sewing.

Elphaba Thropp

Don’t go near her with a bucket of water…

This little mug rug is based on that great musical Wicked and the firey and strong minded Elphaba. I’ve always found the poster for the production quite striking with vivid emerald green and blacks and I thought this Kona in Clover just so reminded me of her. If you would like to try this pattern feel free to download for free from here. It is quick and simple and will pass a wet afternoon in a  fun way I’m sure. I’d love to see your versions if you’d like to share them on Instagram and be sure to tag them with #Elpahabamugrug and as well as #quiltydoings.  I hope you enjoy the little project.

I got hungry when I was snapping this mug rug for you today so had to sneak off for a snack as you can see, with my Pumpkin and Walnut Muffins.  I am sure they count as one of your five a day too…. So why not give them a try too with the recipe link below. Not too sweet but just enough to go with that Chai Latte there.  So, I’ll leave you with two things that you can try today for the price of one. Have fun on the Spooky night and keep safe everyone.

Don’t forget I have some other downloaded templates and patterns so do check them out here. You never know what you mind find.
